Principal’s Message

As the principal of St.Mary’s college I am immensely pleased of the leaps and bounds made in all round progress by St.Mary’s college since its humble inception in 1867.Today St. Mary’s has entered into a new era , with modern facilities that would enhance academic pursuits for higher education , in addition to developments in the field of sports and athletics. The most recent addition to the school’s activity agenda is the practical application of IT.

I am also happy to mention that St.Mary’s has come on the internet, by launching a web site. The public can now log into our web site to obtain information, past and present, relating to the college’s, development from 1867 onwards and the achievements of students in the field of academics and sports.

1867 was the year of its inception

St.Mary’s then had a humble reception

Yet forged ahead on a noble conception

Based on catholic church preception.

In leaps and bounds its progress grew

Year by year the success came true

Today’s status of the college will prove

From a humble birth, how the college grew.

In learning and sports St.Mary’s shines

In the nations image achieved good times

Of past bad years no one pines

Fame and success came in lines

Grown in stature our college stands high

In awe of its greatness some people sigh

Science and technology are taught in school

While in the schools, the boys cannot fool

Work while you work – No play is the rule
